January 2013 - PROJECT SNAKE ISLAND Beginning January 22nd, I will land on the tiny Spanish Virgin Island of Isla Culebra (Snake Island) and begin an 8 day photography adventure of exploration to document the coastline, flora and fauna of Isla Culebra.  The journey will involve traveling on foot several miles each day and sleeping outdoors under the Caribbean night sky.  Food and water will be limited and thus I will rely a lot on my ability to forage.  Here is a video explaining the project.

12.12.12 - MEXICO CITY, MEXICO The apparition of the Virgin Mary to Juan Diego in 1531 was an important turning point in the introduction of Christianity to the indigenous peoples of the new world by the Spaniards.  On December 12 of each year, millions of faithful Catholics make the annual pilgrimage to the site where the events of 1531 occurred.  The new and old Basilicas of Our Lady of Guadalupe are beautiful churches next to each other on the Plaza Mariana below Tepeyac Hill and the chapel that stands upon it.  The following provide a rich pictorial look into this day highly anticipated by Catholic Mexicans and other Catholics around the world.
